Pastor Melvin L. Austin has been pastoring New Bethel Cathedral COGIC for 24 years.
New Bethel Cathedral is located in Hampton, VA. He and his wife of 31 years. First
Lady Claudine Austin, labor intensely both on a spiritual and practical level to
unashamedly practice what they preach. In holy boldness, they invade the enemy's
territory and war the good fight of faith. Pastor Austin focuses on the vision that
God has given to him - SOULS. His vision is to lead souls to Christ, nourish them
in the Word of God, clothe the naked, feed the hungry, heal the sick, bridge the
generation gap between the young and old, promote the family, expand the Kingdom of
God, continue to be a launching pad for ministers of the Gospel of Christ, keep the
mission of Christ foremost in the New Bethel Ministries and deliver God's people by
the power of Jesus Christ.
